Description

During the tour we will visit the two picturesque villages of Savoca and Forza d’Agrò, where Francis Ford Coppola shot the Sicilian scenes of the three films of "The Godfather".

We start from this main theme to discover two Sicilian realities in full relax.

The tour does not stop only at the discovery of the various film sets: you will discover two typical Sicilian towns with an ancient history, which offers churches, convents, catacombs and splendid views.

Among the breathtaking views and the medieval streets of Savoca, there are many points of interest to see in the village.

The Vitelli Bar, which has remained so since Coppola shot the scene with Al Pacino (Michael Corleone); the church where Michael married Apollonia; the Catacombs of the Capuchins; the Main Church of 1200; the Church of San Michele around the ruins of the old castle overlooking Savoca; the mirror monument dedicated to Coppola, on the panoramic terrace overlooking the Ionian coast, site of Michael Corleone's wedding scene.

Continue to Forza d’Agrò, a town of great historical and landscape interest, with the two main churches dating back to 1200, always present in the film scenes.

During a walk through the streets you will discover the house of Don Vito Corleone and the way that little Vito Andolini made in a basket on the back of a donkey, to escape to America "from the Picciotti".

At the end of this exciting film tour, you can enjoy (after your decision) a lunch of hot and cold fish specialties, accompanied by a genuine house white wine.
